Day 1
Arrival to the Juan Santamaria International Airport where a bilingual guide will assist you. Transfer to Hotel PURE San Jose.

Day 2
Brakfast and visit to the Arenal Volcano and Thermal Waters. This tour is very popular as it gives us an opportunity to visit Costa Rica’s most active volcano and immerse oneself in the Thermal Waters at the Tabacon Resort & Spa.

On your way towards the Arenal Volcano, you will drive through the town of San Ramon which is known for its geography, fresh climate and lush vegetation. From the road you will be able to enjoy the beautiful flower cultivations which are abundant in the area.

You will then arrive at the town of La Fortuna, which is the closest town to the volcano. On a clear day, you will be able to awe in this volcano’s perfect cone shape which emerges from the plains. The Arenal Volcano normally gives off a thrilling show of rumbles along with lava and ash.

A stop at the Thermal Waters is in place for you to relax and regain strength and vitality in these soothing springs. At night, you will enjoy a delicious dinner at the base of the volcano.

Day 3
Breakfast and journey towards the magnificent Tortuguero area. Transportation will drive through the dense rainforest of the Braulio Carillo National Park which begins to unfold after 30 minutes of leaving San Jose. You will arrive to the embarkation point where a quick rest is in place before boarding a canal navigating boat for a 2 hour journey to your lodge.

Lunch. The afternoon is free for you to explore your surroundings, walk the natural trails, take a refreshing swim or just relax on one of the hammocks.

Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4
Breakfast. This day you will explore the picturesque town of Tortuguero as well as several of the canals. Make sure to bring your cameras as you will witness the most diverse flora and fauna in the region.

Lunch. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Dinner.

If traveling during the months of July through October, the nocturnal tour to see the Atlantic Green Sea Turtles nesting is a must see experience! No trip to Tortuguero during this season is complete without this wonderful experience. (Not included)

Day 5
Breakfast. Early domestic flight to the Pacific Coast with a short stop in San Jose.

You will be flown from coast to coast where you will come out of the Atlantic rainforest to experience the Pacific Coast’s tropical rainforest at Manuel Antonio.

You will be staying at one of Hotel Pure’s 3 to 4 star properties in Quepos. The rest of the day is off at your leisure for you to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and ocean breeze.

Day 6
After breakfast, you may choose from one of our optional tours in Manuel Antonio. The Manuel Antonio National Park tour offers a spectacular display of very diverse flora and fauna as well as pristine secluded beaches. (Check our Optional Tours for Manuel Antonio)

Day 7
After breakfast, transportation will be ready to drive you back to San Jose where you will have the rest of the day off. San Jose has several museums, theatres and excellent restaurants which serve great national and international cuisine.

Day 8
Transportation will pick you up at your hotel to drive you to the Juan Santamaria International Airport for your departure back home.
