The Orquideas Inn is conveniently located outside the city, but yet close enough for easy access to all mayor Central Valley attractions as well as a great head start for the popular northern pacific beaches.

At just 10 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport, the Orquideas Inn is ideal as a starting point as well as a departure point.

Costa Rica’s capital city, San Jose, is located at 25 minutes from the Orquideas. In San Jose you will be able to visit the National Theatre, the National Museum, Gold Museum, Jade Musuem and others.

Attractions such as the Poas Volcano and La Paz Waterfalls are two major and widely popular attractions which are located 30 minutes which can be accessed by countryside roads with beautiful views.

Small town tours to the picturesque Sarchi, Grecia and Zarcero are of easy access from the Orquideas Inn. Sarchi is famous for its beautifully painted oxcarts and hand carved wooden souvenirs and furniture. Sarchi’s Catholic Church is also quite an attraction due to its uniquely pink color and aquamarine trim. Zarcero is located just a short distance away from Sarchi and Grecia and is famous for its sculpted shrubs in the town’s central park.

For the more adventurous type, the Orquideas Inn is also a great place to start off adventurous tours to the local Canopy, ATV tours, horseback riding, bungee jumping and much more!

The Orquideas Inn is located in Cacao, Alajuela.

From the Airport, take first exit to Alajuela (It is immediately to the right after you pass under the bridge). At the exit, immediately merge to the right lane and take the Alajuela exit. Drive 1.5 km until you reach KFC, turn left and continue for about 1 km until your see Pizza Hut. Turn left, go about 5 km to “Y” intersection in road. Turn right towards the Poas Volcano. Our entrance is 100 meters on right.
