<p>Carib Pacific has announced their strategic partnership with HRG Real Estate Group located in Herradura Costa Rica.  This strategic partnership has resulted in the launch of Pure Condo Resort at Los Suenos, a first class collection of condo’s and villas located in the world class Los Suenos Resort in Costa Rica.</p>

<p>Research intensity has been increasing steadily. Travelers are  consuming more content online before booking a trip.</p>
<p>Google has seen a 15 percent increase in site visits and 30 percent  increase in search clicks prior to booking</p>
<p>Over half of business and personal travelers interact with online  travel videos in all stages of their travel planning.</p>
<p>Consumers are booking their trips online closer to the travel date.</p>
<p>Travelers are searching more for local, point-of-interest-based  information around a destination while planning for and during a trip.</p>
<p>Google has seen a 66 percent growth since 2004 in “Near +” and “Close  To +” terms in the Hotels &amp; Accommodations Category on Google.com.</p>

And while Google&#8217;s social-networking efforts have so  far fallen flat, even satisfied Facebook users should hope that the  search engine&#8217;s efforts bear fruit.</em></p>
<p>In the past week, rumors have swirled around the possibility of a new  Google-developed Facebook-killer. But given the company’s long (and  sometimes rocky) relationship with social networking, the development of  such a site is likely to be anything but straightforward.</p>
<p>Social networking is Google’s white whale. The search giant’s  otherwise nearly impeccable track record of launching properties has  long been marred by its inability to make headway in the space largely  dominated by Facebook and MySpace. The company’s failure isn’t for a  lack of trying, of course. Google has made a number of attempts to  corner the market, with limited success at best.</p>

<p>The businesses that are most likely to be hit soonest are those known  as travel meta-search engines, like Kayak and Bing Travel. These let  users compare travel sites as well as prices from airlines and hotels  themselves. But unlike on Orbitz, Expedia and Priceline, they don’t  allow users to book with them directly. It seems that meta-search,  rather than bookings, would be easiest for Google.</p>
<p>In fact, some analysts see Google’s move into travel as a direct  reaction to the offerings at Bing, Microsoft’s search engine. Some of  Bing’s features, like travel search, “have put some pressure on Google”  to innovate, wrote Douglas Anmuth at Barclays Capital.</p>
<p>For the companies that do allow direct booking of tickets, analysts  see less of an immediate concern. For one thing, Google itself said on  its site that it “has no plans to sell airline tickets to consumers.”</p>

<p>With the dramatic growth of the Internet and the increase of travel  shoppers who research online, many hospitality professionals still  struggle to use a cohesive Internet marketing strategy.  To better  understand these trends, a new white paper by HSMAI, in conjunction with  VIZERGY, explores through a survey of hotel executives how hotels and  resorts can implement effective strategies.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><em>Forward-looking data from Pegasus Solutions shows a more than +30%  increase in global distribution system revenue for hotels year-on-year  through the end of September. The positive data indicates double-digit  growth in hotel booking volumes for both corporate and leisure travel.</em></p>
<p>The Pegasus View sources data from billions of GDS and alternative  distribution system (ADS) transactions, representing corporate and  leisure travel respectively, for nearly 100,000 global hotels. With  forward-looking data indicating sustained increases in GDS average daily  rate (ADR) and length of stay (LOS), the May report also shows a  remarkable +39.6% increase in net revenue on a date-of-booking basis for  the GDS channel, according to Mike Kistner, chief executive officer of  Pegasus Solutions.<br />
“In last month’s edition, we gave Eyjafjallajokull much of the credit  for the increased bookings and revenue through the GDS channel,” said  Kistner. “However, in the absence of another ash crisis, May continued  the upwards growth trend with the highest GDS revenue increase over 2009  for any month in 2010. May bookings only fell off April’s unexpected  boost slightly, maintaining a powerful growth rate of +26.6%, and a  continued rise in ADR of +6.5%.”</p>
<p>The ADS channel, which represents online hotel reservations, is  experiencing somewhat slower and steadier levels of growth, accompanied  by continually depressed ADR. These ADR levels, however are showing  slight signs of increasing. With the now to be expected jump in  look-to-books of +53.5% year-on-year, ADS revenue also remains stifled  due to shorter stays. However, lead times in May increased by one-tenth  to 26.2 days, another important indicator of a return in consumer  confidence.<br />
“Leisure travel demand is alive and well. Consumers will be traveling  this summer, though they are shortening their stays and expanding  searches for the best value,” added Kistner. “With the return of  traveler confidence comes the opportunity to increase your revenue.  Merchandise the guest experience, offer a guest-focused service model  and create demand for your unique product.”</p>

The study  addresses four paradigms: Embracing substance, rightsizing, growing up  and seeking purposeful pleasure.</em></p>
<p>It is the firmly held view of Euro RSCG Worldwide that what we are  seeing is a shift historic in scope and with lasting implications. In  the mature markets of the western world especially, we are witnessing a  broad and fundamental movement away from mindless hyperconsumerism and  toward an approach that is at once more conscious and more satisfying &#8211;  and certainly more sustainable.</p>
<p>To ascertain the extent to which this shift has taken hold around the  world, we undertook a major global study at the end of 2009 that  included an in-depth survey of 5,700 adults in seven countries: Brazil,  China, France, Japan, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the  United States.</p>
<p>What we found is that, to one degree or another, people in mature  markets have grown sick of excess, tired of the constant push to  accumulate more. The purveyors of hyperconsumerism promised happiness  and ease; instead we are seeing record levels of stress and anxiety.</p>
<p>Large numbers of people are dissatisfied with the direction in which  society is headed and with their own personal lifestyles. They still  want more, but now they are defining that differently. Not more shiny  trifles and mountains of disposable consumer goods, but, rather, more  meaning, more deeply felt connections, more substance, and more of a  sense of purpose. People are looking to live life in a way that offers  longer-lasting satisfactions and pleasures than can be found at the  mall.</p>
