South Caribbean Coast to Boost Tourism Infrastructure

The South Caribbean Chamber of Tourism in Costa Rica along with the South Caribbean and Talamanca United Committee , have come before the Municipality of this region to plan a tourism infrastructure investment.

Costa Rica’s South Caribbean is one of the most beautiful and pristine regions in the country offering unspoiled beaches, reefs and rainforest.  Not as developed as Costa Rica’s North Pacific, the South Caribbean offers its own natural charm.

The area is not as visited by mainstream tourists due to its underdevelopment when compared to the province of Guanacaste for example.  Road access as well as potable water is the main concern in the region.

However, the South Caribbean does offer a handful of the most unique, creative and beautifully finished hotels and bungalows within the Costa Rica hotels infrastructure.  These hotels do offer drinkable water as well as follow sustainable practices and environmentally conscious operations.

The South Caribbean Chamber of Tourism calls out to the Municipality to facilitate the local tourism infrastructure for everybody by investing in the essentials.  Better road systems will encourage more and more people to travel to the region.  A better water system will encourage investors to build hotels and tourist attractions in the region as well.

The Municipality of Talamanca in Costa Rica’s South Caribbean region has stated that they are doing everything within their possibility to make these petitions possible.  The Costa Rican Aqueduct and Sewer Department have already started an integration project with Puerto Viejo in order to increase the area’s water supply while the Transportation and Road Department are evaluating the maintenance and improvements needed in the area.
