Several Caribbean towns of the province of Limon will be hosting over 149 distinct disciplines. The town of Siquirres will be the busiest as this is where the track and field competitions will take place.

Over 643 athletes from 42 Costa Rican cantons will be giving it their all for the glory and satisfaction of clutching that gold medal and recognition. Costa Rica’s Olympic athlete, Nery Brenes, got his break in the 2002 national games where he took home 3 gold medals. Brenes has since represented Costa Rica in the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games.
