We stayed for four nights toward the end of October, and while it was rainy at times, it was still very beautiful. The animals and other creatures come out in force during the rain. The staff at El Parador is top-notch and the pizza and buffet breakfasts are fantastic as well.
It’s a great location, particularly after you complete a tour of Manuel Antonio. The monkeys are plentiful and entertaining. We highly recommend El Parador and hope to stay there again.
Thanks Sylvia (Concierge) for all your help and kindness!

This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are luxurious (more space than we needed), the views incomparable, the food top-notch and, most important, the staff super friendly, helpful and accommodating. We did not use their beach, but we spent a lot of time at one of the two pools. It was quiet, and we could observe lots of wildlife from poolside.
One of the staff even ran out from the kitchen area to get my daughter (who was floating in the pool) to let her know that she could see a huge guacamaya from the dining area. That’s just the way they were. it is at the end of a very rough road, but we have plenty of paved roads here in Chicago; not a big deal. I would highly recommend it.

I have visited Puerto Quepos for many years and the trip would not be complete without staying at El Parador. The view from your rooms high atop Quepos Bay is amazing and with the room upgrades, my recent visit couldnt have been any better. Each room has its own feeling and every morning you wake up to hot coffee and pastries delivered to the room, if you want to, through your “Magic Window”….what fun!!
The entire Parador experience takes you back to a time when service was everything and the people make you feel this way.
Enjoy the pool for an incredible view / cocktail and then a snack, for a day in the sun…toda bien!
The food on property is great!

What an awesome place. This hotel is located in a beautiful tropical setting, with tons of trees, birds and monkeys. Yes monkeys they swing through the trees as you eat breakfast lunch and dinner. The hotel is within easy walking distance to resturants, shops and bars. The staff were amazing. They were more than willing to go the extra mile to accomodate your needs and did it all with a smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It’s close to Manuel Antonio, only a $8 cab ride, lots of sun and sand, chairs umbrellas all for rent and of course the locals selling their crafts.
We booked several of trips though the hotel and they were great. I strongly reccomend the ATV trip, booked though Parador. There are several companies out there but this is by far the best. $70 got us picked up from the hotel around 1.30 pm, taken and given the lesson on how to ride. We are then taken though the roads to a river where you stop to swim. On the way we saw a sloth, toucans and crocodliles. We then went riding again after the swim and was taken back to the base where we were given a wonderful meal of rice, chicken and salad and as much to drink both alcohol and soft drinks as we wanted.
A GREAT TRIP. We arrived back at the hotel at 6.30 pm. Another good one is the Pink Panther boat trip…. awesome. Want to say a speical thanks to the people in the resturant at Parador, wonderful people and NOTHING is too much trouble.
Thanks Parador and the poeple of Costa Rica we really had a great time.

My wife and I loved this hotel. Big, comfortable, clean rooms, an extremely friendly staff, and of course an incredible view. It does have a ton of amenities - but that should be expected from a hotel with 108 suites. The breakfast (included) was good, and the hotel is a short ride to a host of great excursions. We also stayed in Manuel Antonio to have dinner a couple of nights. Book this hotel, and make the most of the views and gardens. But for some reason this hotel is the one we talk about the most with our family and friends.
