Tango Mar offers a basic package from which couples may expand or modify to suit their special needs.  For a very reasonable price, a wedding on a tropical beach can be a reality.  Tango Mar offers either its Tiki Suites or Tropical Suites as part of the Wedding Package due to its privacy and romantic design.

For as little as three to four thousand dollars per couple, your paradisiacal wedding will include a 5 day stay at the Tiki or Tropical Suites, breakfast, one romantic beachfront candlelit dinner and bottle of wine, complimentary fruit basket and tropical flowers, wedding cake and a bottle of Moest & Chandon champagne, tropical decoration for the ceremony, bridal spa package, private honeymoon sunset boat tour, horseback riding on the beach, bouquet of tropical flowers and all legal expenses and ceremony procedures including an English speaking lawyer.

A professional photographer is also provided upon request by the couple.  Special rates will also be arranged for family members and friends attending the ceremony.  Nature will provide the unsurpassable charm while Tango Mar will take care of the details.

Aside from Tango Mar’s beautiful natural setting, the hotel takes pride in its professional, good natured and charismatic personnel. The staff at the hotel’s restaurant is the most vivid reflection of the Tango Mar policy.

Upon arriving at the hotel’s restaurant, guests are greeted with a heartfelt smile and welcoming atmosphere. Overlooking the ocean, breakfast, lunch and dinner become a real treat and an experience of its own.

Breakfast is served from 7:30am to 10:30am and offers a variety of selection which includes the traditional Costa Rican Gallo Pinto , the American Bacon and Eggs, delicious Belgium Waffles, Pancakes and a more health conscious yogurt and fruit breakfast.

Lunch is offered around a more casual atmosphere and includes salads, spaghetti, hamburgers and the traditional Costa Rican casado.

Dinner at the Cristobal Restaurant is surrounded by more social atmosphere as this is the time where guests most likely have a chance to meet and exchange stories and experiences. Hilda, Tango Mar’s owner, will most likely take this opportunity to introduce herself in her characteristic warm smile and charismatic personality.

Dinning at the Cristobal Restaurant is quite a unique experience as Caesar Salads are prepared from scratch at your table and the flambéed ice cream receives an enthusiastic cheer from the crowd as the lights go out and the waiter cascades the flaming brew over the desert.

Once inside the property, white gravel roads will take you through the golf course, stunning private beach homes and corrals where guests will most probably catch a glimpse of young Romero; a gorgeous 2 month old colt which will undoubtedly grow up to be a handsome stallion.

Once near the beach, the hotel will start to appear unveiling an eclectic yet cozy and pleasant infrastructure. From the traditional beachfront hotel room building to Polynesian style bungalows and Costa Rican palm covered roofs, the Tango Mar hotel will be anything but dull.

The Tango Mar Hotel offers a total of 35 rooms, 3 villas and its large open Mediterranean style Presidential Villa carefully laid out in the property’s multi-leveled terrain.

The 18 beachfront rooms are all located in the main building at just a few feet from the beach. These rooms are quite large and spacious each with a private balcony which overlooks the sparkling ocean. Rooms are equipped with either two Queen Size Beds or 1 King Size Bed, sitting area, satellite TV, air conditioning, mini bar, coffee maker, telephone, hot water shower and safety deposit box.

The five Tiki Suites are located diagonally behind the main building and resemble a Polynesian style bungalow. Raised above the floor, these hexagon-shaped Tiki Suites provide newlyweds and couples a romantic private setting with a panoramic view of the ocean and lush gardens through its stained glass windows.

Each Tiki Suite has been beautifully built with tropical wood and bamboo and offers a King Size Bed along with its own private Jacuzzi. Satellite TV, sitting area, air conditioning and hot water shower are provided as well. The Tiki Suites are a great option for newlyweds and honeymooners.

The Tropical Suites are located on yet another level of the property at some 250 feet from the beach. The Tropical Suites are built in elliptical shaped groups of three with a scenic ocean view. A newly installed swimming pool allows for relaxing while enjoying the view. The 12 Tropical Suites, although grouped in threes, offers a bit more privacy as they are located away from the main path.

The Beachfront Villas at Tango Mar are located at the farthest end of the beachfront and offer a somewhat Mediterranean appeal. Large and spacious, these villas can accommodate from 6 to 10 people.

The Robinson Crusoe, Mono Congo and Royal are the names of these three villas which offer privacy, its own waterfall and Jacuzzi. Each room is equipped with its own satellite TV and private bathroom allowing for independency and privacy yet under the same roof.

The Presidential Villa is located near the Golf Course and the Helicopter landing area in the Tango Mar Resort. Spacious and open rooms allow the ocean breeze to flow through the area. The Presidential Villa consists of 2 master suites with its own Jacuzzi, living room, satellite TV and all other necessary amenities as well as 2 Junior Suites. Connecting corridors and a central garden brings the Presidential Villa together giving it a fresh and uncluttered appeal.

We recently visited the Tango Mar as part of my children’s school vacation trip. We really enjoyed the hotel and all its activities. The staff is very friendly, despite the long hours that they work. I would say that the beach is the main attraction and the swimming pool, mini golf and surroundings, including a nature walk, are very nice.

It is a little crowded over the weekends with lots of locals, but it is still very nice. Recommended for families. If you travel from San Jose, I recommend to take a 30 minutes flight, at least for the return.

I would recommend this Tango Mar to anyone who wants to enjoy a relax and fun vacation in Costa Rica!!

Tango Mar was great, the food, the shows, the rooms every thing was excellent, the food selection was very large-and their was always something that we were happy to eat.

The service was really good, the only thing that I regret is that we took like 50 pictures, and the film got damage. Great staff will keep you entertained all day and night, these guys and gals work 27 days straight from sun up to sun down and do a great job. The whole staff was great, the pool was beautifull, the beach spectacular.

Actually I want to send my parents there for a weekend, and I want to go there with my girl friend, and then with her and my daughter.
