We had an amazing time at Montana de Fuego!

It was probably our favorite stay of the entire trip. There were 4 adults in one cabin/bungalow. Although that’s a lot of people, there weren’t any space issues. The rooms were big, with the high ceilings making it feel even better. And we liked that that counter/sinks were outside of the actual bathroom, making it easier for a group of adults to stay together.

The view of the volcano is spectacular, assuming it’s not cloudy and the volcano is actually visible! It was cloudy much of the time we were there, though it cleared nicely for our night hike. We also saw the zip-line tour on the property, which was amazing!

Overall, if you visit the Arenal area, you’d be missing out if you did not stay here… just ignore the out of place Vegas style hotel near by.
