The ninth largest airline in the US, Alaska Airlines, has recently shown its interest in Costa Rica.  Although Alaska Airlines does not fly directly into Costa Rica, it has opened an office in the country through a representative.

Alaska Airlines flies mainly from the west coast and northern US as well as from Canada.  Tourists from the US and Canada can now connect Alaska Airline flights with those which do fly into Costa Rica and vice versa.

The opening of this new office in Costa Rica will allow for the opening of new markets from the US to Costa Rica as well as the other way around.

Alaska Airlines will also look into the possibility of flying into Costa Rica if the demand is enough to justify opening the route.
